HR and Payroll Administrator

We are working with a high end FMCG company who are seeking an HR and Payroll Administrator to take ownership of day-to-day payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to deliver an exceptional colleague experience each pay cycle. Reporting to the People Manager, you will collaborate with a managed service payroll provider, operational managers, and other People Team colleagues to maintain payroll and People data excellence.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work across the People Team to align data processing activities with deadlines.
- Provide administrative support for onboarding, employee relations, and data management.
- Liaise with operational managers to ensure a high level of data input
- Collate data for monthly payroll submissions, manage advances/loans, pensions, and expenses.
- Resolve payroll queries with a high level of customer service.
- Manage absence certification records and Right to Work compliance.
- Analyse and report on performance management and training data.
- Contribute to People Team objectives and participate in ad hoc projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven HR and payroll administration experience, including outsourced payroll.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Email, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel - pivot tables and lookups, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of HRM systems is desirable.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Understanding of UK right to work legislation.
