HR Advisor
Are you an experienced HR Advisor, CIPD qualified or currently working towards? Do you have a background in fmcg and manufacturing, preferably food? Could you be open minded to changes, implementations, new ideas and new ways of working?
Major Recruitment are working in unison with our prestigious client, one of the countries well-established and leading suppliers of quality meat products. Based in Telford, Shropshire, our client manufacture and distribute only the highest quality beef to foodservice professionals, wholesalers, and retailers across the UK and internationally.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Advisorthat can hit the ground running and that are willing to look after the day to day grind. You will be working closely with managers to ensure best practice and processes are implemented. You will be providing first line HR support to line managers and partnering from an operational aspect.
Key Responsibilities of a HR Advisor;
- Build and maintain strong relations with the senior management team and line managers to identify and be able to respond to current and future people related requirements.
- Coach managers to achieve best outcomes for improving teamworking, maintaining high standards of conduct and behaviour.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR strategy, policy, and initiatives to sup-port the business plan and align with the Group Philosophy and Values.
- Work across the Group's businesses to develop the necessary knowledge of the regulatory, professional, and occupational requirements to be met by the Organisation.
- Develop, manage, and supervise our induction programmes with the result that new staff feel safe, confident, and valued in doing their job as early as possible.
- Develop a strong understanding of the Group's strategic and operational objectives to play a leading role in the development and creation of the Academy including the development of our learning strategy and culture, delivering blended learning solutions.
- Manage and supervise our Apprenticeship programme both in house and embedded with our client portfolio.
Skills required to be a successful HR Advisor;
- CIPD or equivalent qualification (level 5 or above) or working towards
- Experience work in fmcg
- Good planning and facilitation skills, with attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of using Microsoft Office programmes
- Knowledge of upto date Employment Law
- Ability to build strong relationships, and be a customer-focused, team-player.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and critical thinking skills
What's in it for you?
