Plus, if you refer a friend to join our team, you could earn up to £500!#wearegearysThe RoleAs our HR Assistant, you will provide level one employee relations support and guidance to employees and managers for all stages of employee life cycle; helping the organisation to deliver its People Plan and meet its people-based objectives. Your key areas of responsibility will include:Employee Relations:-• Initial point of contact for all HR queries in the business• Support and advise line managers with level 1 employee relations issues (including absence, AWOL, disciplinary and performance management)• Create and issue all Disciplinary invite letters.• Attend Level 1 formal meetings and produce relevant documentation.• Manage AWOL and Unauthorised Leave process.• Arrange and support with welfare meetings.• Liaise with Occupational Health to ensure job-related advice is provided to aid rehabilitation and reduce absence levels.• Support with flexible working requests.• Support with Family friendly queries including Maternity, Paternity and Parental leave• Support the HR Generalist as required.Administration:-• Produce HR documentation including contract of employment, offer letter, contract changes, promotions etc• Process all paperwork associated with employment changes in timely manner.• Acknowledge resignation letters and inform the relevant departments.• Attend meetings as notetaker when required.• Support with the employee engagement surveys to collate and report on results and actions.Governance:-• Support line managers in all stages of employee life cycle.• Become a SMA for the HRIS System• Support the HR Manager to monitor and report on HR KPIs and provide ad hoc statistics and data when required.• Support the HR Generalist and Manager to create, monitor and update HR policies and processes, in line with legislation.• Keep abreast of updates to employment legislation.• Support the business with all Audits including SMETA and BRC.• Support with inductions as required.About YouAt Geary’s, we look for people who show up every day to do their best.
