Operational site based HR Manager
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE plus benefits
Location: Telford
Be instrumental in developing and delivering an outstanding site HR service to a well known manufacturing business in the FMCG sector based in Telford and experience the benefits of being part of a highly successful thriving global business who have a reputation of putting their people first.
The HR Manager will be the no1 in HR on site whilst managing a small HR team and have the added advantage of working as part of a highly supportive wider UK HR team working for an outstanding successful global company who have been in business for over 100 years!
THE ROLE
The site HR Manager will work closely supporting and guiding the operational management team building respect and credibility across the site and taking full responsibility for all things HR across the manufacturing site.
One of the key elements of the role is to lead on change and deliver cultural and policy alignment across the site putting in place strong policies and procedures to deliver transformation and change.
The ideal candidate will have good business acumen and a deep understanding of working in manufacturing and particularly in the food manufacturing/FMCG sector.
Previous experience leading on change, and delivering a consistent service to an operational business that includes developing relevant KPI's, collecting data, supporting managers to follow process and procedure and working towards total alignment in areas of HR across the site.
The HR Manager will be experienced in managing and inspiring a HR team. The key areas of responsibility are:-
Responsibility for the site HR function
Managing site HR team
Recruitment (end to end)
Employee relations
Absence management
Performance management
Oversee payroll and Time & Attendance
Supporting Managers on disciplinary and grievances
Policies and Procedures
Delivering HR training
Be integral in the participation of Corporate Social Responsibility mission
Ensure compliance for audits
Update trackers and KPIs
Manage the apprenticeship and graduate programme
THE CANDIDATE:
CIPD level 5
Worked at a similar level in a manufacturing company (Ideally food manufacture)
Worked a number of years at HR Manager level leading a small HR team
Lead on HR projects ie; job alignment, implementing policies & procedures, change management, lead on HR projects as No1 in HR for a site
Strong employment law background
Worked in previous HR roles as part of a wider UK wide HR team
Experienced working for a global company
A solid HR generalist background with a good working foundation in all areas of HR
