HR Manager
Are you an experienced operational CIPD qualified HR Manager with a background in the food manufacturing industry? Are you prepared to take on a challenge, demonstrate your abilities and clearly make a difference in the food sector?
Major Recruitment are working in unison with our prestigious client, one of the countries well-established and leading suppliers of quality meat products. Based in Telford, Shropshire, our client manufacture and distribute only the highest quality beef to foodservice professionals, wholesalers, and retailers across the UK and internationally.
This exciting opportunity is for an experienced HR Manager that understands how essential it is to provide comprehensive HR support to managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities of a HR Manager:
Co-ordinating Recruitment and selection activity.
Conduct new starter Inductions when HR assistant is unavailable.
Control of the probation review process.
Payroll administration.
Absence monitoring and reporting, updating the absence matrix.
Manage Attendance system.
Advise and inform managers on Disciplinary and Grievance process.
Assist managers in controlling holidays for departments.
Oversee Occupational health referrals.
Review and maintain Job descriptions.
Update policies and procedures.
Oversee the implementation of the performance management process.
Implement employee benefits scheme.
Overseeing the employee council meetings.
Attended weekly management meetings.
Take part in the corporate social responsibility mission.
Maternity and Paternity process.
Ensure departmental compliance for Audits.
Manage HR Apprentice, conduct 1-1, return to work meetings.
Updating and delivering training matrices and trackers.
Organise internal and external training events.
Co-ordinate SOP process, ensuring SOPs are created and are delivered/trained out to relevant staff.
Help manage the Apprenticeship programme paperwork and candidate assessment/portfolios.
Monitor of and collation of training hours and stats for monthly report.
Skills required to be a successful HR Manager:
CIPD Level 5 or above with strong employment law knowledge.
Attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Microsoft office.
Organised, forward thinking - able to prioritise workload.
Do not to interfere with or misuse anything that has been provided for your health, safety or welfare.
Promote a safe working culture throughout your department and site.
Understand and comply with the Company's H & S and Environmental Policies.
Adhere to all safe working procedures and /or training.
What's in it for you?
