Maternity cover HR UKI Manager
Your new role
Our client is looking for an experienced HR professional to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing HR strategy that aligns with the business goal of the company and the overall processes of EMEA HR, and defining and developing new HR policies, procedures and processes to support local needs in compliance with laws and aligned with EMEA guidelines. The key activities and accountabilities of this position are:
- Define needs, interview, assess and select candidates for open temp or permanent positions, propose comp package in collaboration with C&B and ensure positive candidate experience and efficient onboarding/off-boarding process
- Performance review: implement and manage the annual performance process (MBO) to ensure effective development of employees, drive mindset of a high-performing organisation by setting stretch goals
- Labor relations: Ensure effective employee relations through professional compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain close contact with managers and employees, be a sparring partner for local team, manage all related employee legal topics
- Talent management: plan and conduct local POD (People and Organization) reviews, identify key and top talents and drive with business leaders their development, create succession planning for critical roles.
- Compensation and Benefits: support, review and improve compensation plan for the country including social security, individual coverage, tax assessment and benefits linked to operational activities (phone, car, IT, meal etc), act as local expert on market needs. Maintain company handbook
- Payroll management: Coordinate and communicate of the monthly payroll process in alignment with external outsourced payroll provider.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will be an experienced HR manager or professional looking for the next step. Min CIPD level 5.
What you\'ll get in return
Ongoing role for approx 12 months to cover maternity. This will include a hand-over - you will be paid on a day rate via Hays.
