Reed HR are working alongside a large Public Sector Organisation who are recruiting for a HR Systems Advisor for 1 year on a fixed term contract.
This role is hybrid, so travel into the office will be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively across the wider People team to develop and maintain an excellent People service — Working to ensure the People system’s work efficiently and enable streamlined processes as much as possible. Proactively make suggestions for improvements and action where possible
• Supporting team members and managers on technical queries, from basic process queries to complex, unique queries that require experience and a knowledge of best practice.
• Building strong working relationships with managers, providing pragmatic and flexible guidance to support them in meeting their organisational objectives. Provide a point of contact for system queries as they occur, with a non-judgemental and positive approach.
• Support the People Business Partners and Line Managers in the correct use of the people system, ensuring a standard level of competency in all departments.
• Be responsible for general system administration, and the review, implementation and testing of new releases, upgrades and new functionality.
• Generate reports to provide useful insights to the company on a regular basis. This may include recruitment metrics, turnover and retention rates, diversity data etc.
• Be the People department’s point of contact for providing people system data when required.
• Propose, build, test, and implement new functionality and support any agreed enhancements to configuration in the people system. Ensuring that agreed requirements are documented, delivered and user acceptance tested.
• Provide user training tools and sessions with people managers, ensuring good standards of competency.
• Provide and support the documentation of user guides, dataflow diagrams and business process maps.
• Working on ad-hoc projects as required, in response to the needs of the organisation.
• Any other duties as reasonably required, commensurate with the level of the position.
Person Specifications
• Experience in managing all aspects of systems administration including user access and permission levels.
• Experience in using and configuring current day People systems and processes.
• Experience in supporting and troubleshooting issues raised and working with system suppliers to resolution when required.
• Experience of User Acceptance testing of new releases and updates to the People systems.
