We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Internal Communications Lead to join a dynamic organisation based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind creating engaging and clear communication essential for fostering team understanding and enhancing business efficiency. You'll also play a crucial role in boosting employer brand profile.
Working in partnership with the People & Culture team, you'll lead efforts to keep employees engaged, facilitate inter-team communication, and showcase the organisation as a great place to work.
We are looking for someone with a proactive, creative mindset, excellent organisation and communication skills, and the ability to work well both independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines. If you have a talent for distilling complex information into compelling content and are comfortable working across various traditional and digital media channels, you could be the perfect fit.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Implementing the annual Internal Communications plan in collaboration with the Marketing Manager and the People and Culture Director/team.
- Creating monthly corporate updates highlighting achievements, best practices, and latest news.
- Crafting content for the quarterly staff newsletter.
- Developing content to support employer brand communication, including managing website sections.
- Producing content to support internal initiatives and events.
- Organising company events throughout the year.
- Designing branded materials to support the People and Culture team.
- Providing support for other marketing functions as required.
To excel in this role, you'll bring an inquisitive, creative approach to communication, along with genuine enthusiasm for your work. You should have a degree-level qualification or significant relevant experience, especially in roles emphasising exceptional writing and organisational skills. Previous experience in Internal Communications is highly desirable.
