Role Info:

IT Support Engineer
Wallingford (OX10) with WFH flex after initial period
£30,000 - £35,000

The IT Support Engineer Opportunity:

Reporting to the Technical Support Manager and the Senior Technical Director, the IT Support Engineer role is pivotal to the smooth running of the Company’s client’s IT operations.

You will be a skilled IT professional with the ability to comfortably maintain and support all levels of IT systems within our customer base. You must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, at all technical levels, and be ready to provide frontline support and training on a range of diverse client IT systems, which means being available to users during core office hours.

As part of the technical team, you will work on a variety of service & project tickets ensuring standard level agreements are met and excellent standard of quality is upheld at all times.
You would be expected to work independently and manage your workload with a methodical, accurate, logical, and concise approach.

Key Responsibilities:

+ System administration
+ Security and monitoring
+ User admin and support
+ Contributing to the strategy, policy and planning of the company

About you:

+ Proven experience of working in a technical support role
+ Networking knowledge including Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, Proxy Servers, Active Directory/LDAP
+ Comfortable with CRM systems and online web Content Management Systems
+ In depth knowledge of Microsoft OS, Office and Security application software, including data handling and reporting
+ Familiar with PC, Laptops, mobile devices and tablet technology, including practical PC/Laptop repairs and fault diagnosis
+ Must be able to pass a standard DBS check
+ Experience in documenting processes and procedures
+ Natural problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to find a solution
+ The eagerness and capacity to quickly learn new systems and technologies
+ A genuine interest in being involved in the IT operations environment
+ Analytical thinker and attention to detail

Desirable:

+ Sequel server experience desirable but not essential
+ Powershell scripting knowledge desirable but not essential
+ Practical electronic repair experience desirable
