We're looking for a Learning & Development partner to join our small friendly and collaborative HR team on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. This role represents our first subject matter expert within Learning and Development, and is a role we're really excited to introduce.
We are a small but enthusiastic function - nothing phases us and if we don't know how to tackle a problem or issue then we simply work together to resolve it. We pivot quickly from problem solving to delivery. We are resource-light so use our creativity to develop solutions that suit the business.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in successfully coordinating designing, delivering, and evaluating learning programs and initiatives in a Professional services/Financial services or similar environment. Ideally you will have a recognised learning qualification although we are of course open to those who can demonstrate relevant experience as an alternative.
Whilst initially the role will focus on co-ordination and administration - helping us curate, promote and deliver a programme of learning and development activities, there will also be the opportunity for the role holder to get involved in training needs analysis, design and delivery of a wide range of learning solutions, as well as helping to source and partner with trusted third parties to help deliver technical and specialist content.
Examples of our focus areas for the year ahead include designing and delivering learning activities for people managers, creating an effective technical onboarding programme for our insurance broking populations, and providing support to our internal Learning & Development Committee helping shape and progress the learning needs. Underpinning this will be the business as usual activities of reporting and monitoring our progress against our mandatory learning commitments and helping us evaluate and evidence return on investment.
This role will really suit someone from a financial services background who has a good appreciation of the regulatory environment in which we work. We have a really varied range of stakeholders and so your ability to network, and connect with all sorts of people will be critical as will your confidence, creativity and ability to work autonomously. A sense of urgency and self motivation to deliver results and make an impact is what binds the HR team together.
