Adele Carr Financial is delighted to be supporting the recruitment requirements of a leading, organisation, based in Liverpool City Centre who are keen to appoint a Legal Cashieron a permanent basis.
This is truly a fabulous opportunity for a proven cashier with proven leadership qualities to join the business and take on responsibilities including the day to day operation off the back office accounts team.
The successful new appointment will play a pivotal role within the business ensuring the team are up to speed with managing office and / or client accounts.
Supporting the Head of Finance, you will work with various stakeholders and be part of the projects team responsible for process improvements and ensuring compliance.
To be effective in this role, you will have a strong background in the Legal sector and be familiar with Solicitor Accountancy Rules.
What you'll be doing:
- Daily banking and bank reconciliations
- BACS and CHAPS payments to suppliers and clients
- Process client account and office account bank transactions
- Monitor bank accounts for incoming client funds and bank transfers
- Identifying unreferenced bank receipts
- Process inter-account transfers
- Handling general queries from fee earners and auditors
- Ensuring compliance with SAR, money laundering and VAT regulations
- Closing of client files including balancing off ledgers
- Ensuring compliance with SAR, money laundering and VAT regulations
- Purchase ledger management
- Daily cash flow reporting
- Producing management reports
- Payroll postings and month end reconciliations
- Assisting with month end management accounts
- Assisting with year-end accounts and audits
What you'll need
- Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of the Solicitor's Accounts Rules
- Experience of working on Proclaim Software (advantageous but not necessary as full training will be given)
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload
- Professional and mature
- Ability to work with individuals across all departments and externally
- Enthusiastic attitude towards work and colleagues

25k to 30k depending on experience
