Legal Cashier

My client is a commercial law firm based in the heart of London's historic legal district in Lincoln's Inn. Founded in the early 1900s, they have grown to become a thriving and modern practice, providing a comprehensive range of legal services to meet the needs of a wide variety of businesses, individuals and organisation based throughout the UK and overseas.

They are now looking for a Legal Cashier to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Dealing with receipting and paying out client funds.
• Transferring funds between office and client accounts on a daily basis.
• Paying in and processing client account cheques.
• Dealing with unallocated client receipts.
• Review daily bank reconciliations for RBS
• Processing payment through RBS Bankline
• Ensure aged client balances are monitored and returned promptly.
• Updating the Finance Manager with any SRA account rule breaches. Assisting the Head of Finance and the Finance Manager with the annual SRA Audit.
• Liaising with the business to solve account queries prior to postings.
• Assisting with other finance duties and tasks.
• Posting on Aderant to reflect the status of bank level transactions.

Candidate Profile

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Has the ability to work in a high-pressured environment.
• To be able to liaise effectively at all levels.
• Excellent knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules to ensure compliance.
• Enthusiastic about learning new processes.
• Confident working with numbers with the ability to reconcile accurately.
• Conscientious, excellent timekeeping and is able to show flexibility when required.
• Proven experience of Aderant.
