Hours: Up to 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.30am - 6pm (negotiable)

Glengormley Practice are seeking to recruit a Medical Administrator/Receptionist to join their busy team. We are a GP practice currently providing care for approx 9000 patients.

About The Role

• Dealing with patient queries and requests by phone or in person, efficiently and accurately
• Accurate processing of prescriptions
• Registering new patients
• Care Navigating patients to the appropriate healthcare professional
• Processing emails as per practice protocol
• Updating and maintaining patient medical records appropriately and accurately
• Liaising with external agencies including hospitals, community pharmacists etc
• A variety of other activities that could be reasonably expected of a medical administrator including opening post, scanning.

Required Criteria

• Excellent Communication Skills
• Proficient in the use of MS Office software, email and the internet
• Experience of adhering to policies and processes including confidentiality
• The ability to work to deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment with an attention to detail
• Problem solving and ability to prioritise workload

Desired Criteria

• Previous Medical Administrator/Receptionist experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract, Temp to perm
Contract length: 3-12 months

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 37 per week
