Medical Receptionist/Clerical Officer

The post holder will work as part of a patient focused team to provide high quality, administrative and clerical support to GPs and other health care professionals. The post holder will be expected to deal efficiently and sensitively with the needs of patients, while ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times. The following list is not exhaustive and may be modified to meet the changing needs of the practice..

5 GCSEs (grades A-C) including Maths and English

Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Word Processing

Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative

Excellent communication and organisational skills

The ability to prioritise work

Experience of working in a health care setting or GP practice within the last 5 years

Knowledge of EMIS Web

Experience in a customer care role
