Job Title: Senior Accounts Assistant
Job Description for Senior Accounts Assistant:
We have the opportunity to join an established organization in the Bromsgrove area, you will be responsible for the accounts function within this SME business. This is a standalone position, the ideal candidate would have experience of being in a similar role previously and working within a business of a similar size. We are looking for a candidate who can work 20-30 hours per week with a pro rata salary of 28-32,000. Familiarity with SAGE is ideal and AAT qualification also desired but not essential.
Duties of Senior Accounts Assistant:
- Sales/ Purchase Ledger
- Generating credit notes as required
- Credit Control
- Processing expenses such as company car etc
- Purchasing euros for orders with foreign suppliers
- Bank Reconciliation
- Accounts payable
- Vat Return
Key skills and attributes of Senior Accounts Assistant:
- Had exposure and experience in all aspects of accounts
- Having experience working within a small family business accounts department would be beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate.
- Able to work in a standalone role and use initiative to complete all tasks in a timely manner.
- Experience in foreign exchange preferable but not essential.
- Experience/exposure to month end would be preferable but not essential.
- Previous experience in an accounts department for a distribution company.
