ABOUT THE ROLL
Typical duties will include assisting with personal care, nutrition and hydration, and support leaving the house.
Ideal candidate will have some experience of providing care (formal or informal), good hygiene standards, some cooking skills, good communication, and some understanding of autism. Job is open to people of all genders. Fellow disabled people with capacity for the roll are encouraged to apply and all reasonable adjustments will be made.
All necessary training, equipment, and PPE will be provided. No uniform, dress code informal. Enhanced DBS required.
ABOUT THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
I am a disabled person in my 30s living in South Manchester with my husband. I am chronically ill, queer, and autistic. I like cats, cooking, knitting, and science fiction.
Most of the role will be at my home in the M19 area, which is convenient for public transport and parking. There are no pets, no children in the household, and there is no smoking on the premises. Some of the role will include travelling on public transport and attending medical settings.
ABOUT THE HOURS
I am currently recruiting for Sunday, Monday, and Wendesday.
Typical shifts are 2 to 3 hours, start time around 9am (this can be flexible).
