A fantastic opportunity for a career driven Procurement Specialist to join a successful, rapidly growing environmental firm based in Doncaster. My client currently operates at a turnover in excess of £50m and there has never been a better time to join the team!
My client is looking for an experienced procurement individual who can develop and implement procurement policies and procedures whilst providing procurement advice, ensuring the H&S of staff and approved suppliers/sub-contractors. This is coupled with the aim to minimise the impact to the environment and achieving expectations in terms of service and quality.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Manage the procurement of a variety of plant and vehicle requirements
- Manage the supplier base and appropriate contracts / terms and conditions
- Provide advice and assistance relating to new or replacement plant and vehicle procurement
- Develop and maintain knowledge of relevant technological developments and industry best practice relating to plant and commercial vehicles
- Identify opportunities to effect common purchasing, secure synergies and create value through procurement initiatives
- Assist in the identification of suitable suppliers, PQQ, preparation of specifications, contracts and evaluation criteria for all tenders
