Procurement Specialist

I am recruiting for a large public sector organisation based in the finance market. They are based in Sheffield and cover the UK.
Your new role
As Procurement Specialist you will be working with the organisation\'s commercial operations team activities who are responsible for the organisation\'s procurement activity, ensuring activities achieve value for money as well as being compliant with Procurement legislation.
Main Responsibilities include;

• Providing commercial advice and guidance to colleagues across the organisation on procurement matters
• To be an expert in contributing to the organisation\'s procurement strategy, coordinating and running public sector compliant procurement exercises in their full lifecycle
• Directly managing high value & complex procurements
• Produce all required documentation on high value, complex procurements
• Manage and chair evaluation and moderation processes
• Contribute to market insights that provide management with high quality analysis of the organisation\'s procurement activities to inform strategic decision-making
• Provide input for planning and budget processes
• Enable and develop continuous improvements
• Assist colleagues as a business partner with procurement processes and contract management
• Assist the Senior Commercial Manager in establishing the function as a strategic partner to other departments within the organisation

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Experience working in a procurement role within the Public Sector
• Experience of running procurements in line with OJEU/Find a Tender
• Excellent understanding of public procurement regulations
• Experience of professional services procurement
• High level knowledge of commercial contracts
