Project Accountant
Location: Remote / option to go into the office once per month in Holborn
We are actively looking to secure a Project Accountant to join Experis.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Forecast - Manage monthly financial forecast process. Implement procedures to ensure forecast deliverables and variance analyses are met on a timely basis. Includes participation in and providing commentary in the various account and engagement forecast calls and upload of detailed forecast at a resource and project level. Also includes review and confirmation of monthly cash target forecast.
Actual- Manage month end close process to ensure closing deadlines met and financials are accurate. Includes maintaining creation of project codes, detailed review of signed contracts and creating project trackers, accordingly, updating fee rates and transfer price rates, review of days booked along with fee and cost rates and comparing the same with forecast and budget, updating project SET trackers, posting manual web journals for accrual, cost transfer, corrections, reclassifications, checking and actioning on daily WIP and Debt positions, accounting for discount, invoicing etc.
Post Close Activity and Balance Sheet Review - Includes providing commentaries on unbilled revenue and billed in advance position at the end of the month as captured in the WIP-BIA file and giving detailed walkthrough to Sector Controller and Finance SM monthly. Also includes reviewing and providing commentaries on the month-end position with respect to debt, project costs and project PO balances.
Sales Commercial Review and Sign-Off in THOR - Detailed commercial review of sales opportunities including contract and sales IV uploaded, Client Legal Entity and Engagement name, bookings value and CM and adherence to approval protocol in THOR based on target CM.
DVI Analysis - Reviewing and providing detailed commentaries on sold margin vs. actual margin for projects under the respective portfolio monthly with particular emphasis on the ones with negative DVI.
Orderbook Reconciliation - Reviewing and providing detailed commentaries on variances between bookings and revenue for projects under the respective portfolio with particular emphasis on the ones with material variances.
Inputs in pricing for new engagements and participation in specific engagement reviews - Providing inputs in areas like subcontracting decisions, applicability of trading rules like that of Intra Invent for new engagements along with discussing and advising engagement teams on choosing the best option from financial point of view to ensure optimal margin. Should also participate in specific engagement reviews to provide update on the progress made thus far in terms of effort days and project financials.
Budget - Providing necessary inputs to Sector Finance Controller for preparation of bottoms up budget along with occasional inputs to Finance Director and Finance SM on a need basis.
Management Reporting - Serve as an effective backup resource for preparation of daily reports like MPV and Account Performance Pack during designated days of the month. Also includes publication of reports like Orderbook, N2K Days Extract etc.
Special Projects - Perform and manage special projects as assigned. Includes projects of ad-hoc nature and improvement projects.
Your Skills:

- Oracle Sap would be advantageous

- Accountant or part qualified
