Property Team Manager
Location: Northern Ireland (Flexible working from home/office)
Our client, a prominent player in the insurance industry, is seeking a dynamic individual to join their Ireland Property, Specialist Services Division as a Property Team Manager. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of adjusters and support staff, ensuring the efficient management of all claims within the team to a satisfactory conclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a team of adjusters and support staff, ensuring proactive management of all claims. Handling a reduced caseload of technical claims. Ensuring delivery of the highest quality and service standards to customers and clients. Acting as a point of contact for client/customer queries or escalations. Reviewing and issuing client MI. Demonstrating commitment to innovation and market-leading service
Qualifications and Experience:
- Excellent knowledge of Commercial Property, HNW, Latent Defects, and complex retail-related claims and principles
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
- High IT competency and literacy
- Personal and professional integrity
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while adhering to deadlines and service standards
- Flexible approach to work
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ideally hold Cert/Dip CILA or ACILA qualifications or be committed to working towards these
- Minimum 3 years of Property Claims/Adjusting experience
The Role Involves:
- Line management responsibility for team members
- Monitoring workloads to ensure good customer service
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring team members
- Demonstrating high levels of customer service, accuracy, and service delivery
- Assisting with budget preparation and financial target attainment
- Collaborating with other Managers to meet key objectives and performance measures
- Handling customer/client escalations and complaints
- Participating in client liaison, development, and account management
- Maintaining an excellent knowledge of property and latent defects related claims principles
- Identifying training requirements within the teams
- Ensuring team compliance with SLAs and KPIs
- Managing own caseload and resolving issues satisfactorily
- Working with IT and other divisions to develop innovative technology and processes
You will be able to communicate and motivate via written media and demonstrate a strong understanding of Property Loss Adjusting. You will need to have previous property claims experience and have a loss adjusting qualification (CILA), but consideration will be given to those making significant progress toward it. Experience within the commercial property adjusting sector is essential and any experience in handling losses in excess of £100,000 would be invaluable.
