Position:Purchase Ledger Assistant
Location: Coventry
Duration: Temporary (Ongoing), Full-time
Hourly rate: up to £16 per hour
Macildowie are pleased to be partnered with a well-established and thriving client in the Coventry area, who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable professional (at least 2-3 years experience) to cover the sole Purchase Ledger department on a temporary basis. An end date for this contract is TBC.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process purchase invoices with precision and accuracy (up to 700 invoices monthly)
- Conduct thorough matching of purchase orders and adjustments to invoices, resolving any discrepancies
- Ensure accurate coding and entry of invoices into the system
- Assist in coordinating and executing payment runs
- Support month-end closing activities as required
- Act as a liaison with suppliers to address invoice and payment enquiries
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar Purchase Ledger role is essential (preferably as a sole Purchase Ledger but not essential)
- Ideally, experience as a sole Purchase Ledger Assistant or a minimum of 2-3 years in general Accounts Payable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software - preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
