Working Hours: 38 hours per week Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 (20 min lunch) and Friday 07:30 to 12:50
About the Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Assistant to join the team at Heat Trace, supporting our Purchasing Manager in achieving the most cost-effective supply chain solutions in line with the companies' requirements.
You will be raising purchase orders as directed by the Purchasing Manager and assisting in the submitting, recording, and collating supplier information data and related queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring records are maintained and filed, including certificate of conformity & data sheet requests, update of procurement records
- Assist in resolving invoicing and account queries
- Conducting ad hoc stocks checks as required to ensure ERP (Enterprise, Resource, Planning) accuracy
- Expedite open purchase orders to ensure on time deliveries
About You:
- Computer/IT Literate with good understanding of Word, Outlook, Excel databases etc
- Great communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience of Epicor or similar EPR/MRP systems would be preferable (but not essential)
- Excellent attention to detail, with an analytical approach to problem solving
- You will be organised with great time management skills
About Us:
Our Helsby factory houses all the processing equipment for the manufacture of semi-conductive self-regulating heating cables, core compounding, heating matrix extrusion and insulation. As well as being our headquarters.
