The Practice

Donaghadee Dental Centre is a 3-surgery practice, providing mixed NHS and Private treatments, situated in the heart of Donaghadee, close by to the local shops, cafes and transport links. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dental care while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our patients. As a vital member of our team, you'll play a key role in ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care and support throughout their dental journey.

The Opportunity

As a Receptionist, you will join our team based in Donaghadee on a Part-Time basis (2 days per week Wednesday & either Thursday or Friday). As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring their experience with us is positive from the moment they walk through the door. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a dental practice, exceptional communication skills, and strong attention to detail. You must be able to multitask and work well under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet patients with a warm and friendly demeanour, making them feel welcome and at ease
  • Manage the front desk, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and handling patient inquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Collaborate closely with our dental team to coordinate patient appointments and optimize office efficiency
  • Provide administrative support, including managing patient files, ordering supplies, and other general office duties as needed
  • Follow treatment plans for private Dentists
  • Make appropriate private treatment bookings
  • Offer finance options to patients
  • Work with private Dentists to promote treatments
  • Work with our Digital Marketing team to promote the practice

Requirements and skills:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or dental setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for helping others
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of our patients and team.
