Receptionist & Office Assistant Job Description
Marcilly Recruitment’s leading real estate investment and development firm is seeking a warm, engaging and professional Receptionist & Office Assistant to support their Office Manager in ensuring the smooth running of their front of house and entertaining space. The successful candidate will also help to manage company events.
You will be based in the company’s head office five days a week. They have a fantastic company culture with regular socials and a warm, friendly environment. You will also be part of a great support team that will be able to mentor you and support you in your professional development. The successful Receptionist & Office Assistant will be able to take on team assistant duties supporting the other PAs within the firm and expand their role as they get to know the firm.

Role: Receptionist & Office Assistant
Salary: £28K-£32K depending on experience
Benefits: discretionary bonus; 25 days holiday; pension, medical and gym
Location: Mayfair – office based five days a week
Start date: ideally ASAP but they are willing to wat for the right candidate
Hours: 08:30 – 17:30 – Monday to Friday
Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Ensure that reception is covered during busy times
- Answer switchboard calls (TEAMS), transferring calls or taking messages
- Greet and look after visitors and provide refreshments for meetings
- Ensure good presentation of public areas and meeting rooms
- Ensure the room booking system runs smoothly
- Receiving and distributing deliveries, arranging couriers, managing post
Administration:
- Supporting with PA overspill as and when required (e.g. booking restaurants / hotels / travel / expenses)
- Ordering office supplies as required and ensuring deliveries are put away tidily (stationery, refreshments, flowers etc)
- Assisting with monthly credit card reconciliation
- Assist in organising company events and provide reception cover as required
- Distributing various publications (e.g. press-cuttings) – emailing or photocopying when necessary
- Ad Hoc assistance for the business – including typing up meeting notes etc…
Maintenance:
- Assist with the general maintenance of the office and photocopiers/printers – including building maintenance, redecoration etc…
- First point of contact for all builders, office maintenance workers and ensuring any weekend/out of hours works are correctly booked into the calendar and security is arranged
- Responsible for maintaining the general Health and Safety in the office
