SalaryMy client in London is seeking a Recovery Officer to join their team.
The role:
Collect unpaid Council Tax, Business Rates, Overpaid Housing Benefit and Sundry Debts updating records
Advise customers on Single Person's Discount and Council Tax Reduction
Issue summonses for Council tax and Business rates
Tracing absconded debtors
Arrange for any write off action to be processed
Deal with debt recovery enquiries on the telephone as required
Handle cases returned from enforcement or collection agents
Take the appropriate action to prepare court cases for Housing Benefit Overpayment and Sundry Income debts
Take the necessary action to deal with complex recovery enquiries and respond in writing, on the telephone as appropriate
Maintain a good knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction
Experience using Academy and Enterprise is essential.
Job Type: Full Time
Contract length: 2 months with possibility of extension
Location: Remote work is available, with initial commute into North-West London to meet the team
Rate: £Negotiable DOE
