About The Role
The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the ACT Vet smartphone app based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) among Armed Forces veterans with PTSD and experience of harmful gambling. ACTIVATE is a collaboration between MilGAM, Combat Stress, and King’s College, London, and is funded by an award from the Office for Veterans’ Affairs (Health Innovation Fund).
We are looking for a bright, self-directed, and motivated individual interested in career in clinical psychology or psychiatry. One, part-time (0.4 FTE) position is available until March 2025, with the possibility of extension. The post-holder will be responsible for recruiting dual-diagnosed veterans, data cleaning and management, and supporting the ACTIVATE Research Officer and project team to achieve the goals of the study. Prior experience with hard-to-reach populations, such as veterans, and demonstrated experience in clinical psychology research are desirable criteria.
Fixed term contract to March 2025.
