About The Role
The successful candidates will join a core Faculty research team seeking to help lay the foundations for the development of multi-disciplinary research institutes seeking to address some of today’s major research challenges. The role holder will report to the Associate Dean for Research, Impact & Innovation or their nominated representative. They will Support scoping of research gaps/ agenda for research development, new data sources and developing research and external grant bids in one of two areas:
Geo-Political Challenges – research relating for example to norms based international order, international trade, international policy regimes and physical and cyber challenges to them, challenges to democracy, issues raised for UK foreign policy post-Brexit.
Society, Policy and environmental adaptation – research for example of cultural and social contexts to green transition, education and net zero, the environment, biodiversity and climate change, narratives of the climate crisis, design and policies for the green transition.
They will be self-motivated, apply and use their initiative to determine suitable ways to tackle challenges and seeking guidance when needed.
