As a member of the TCS Sales team, the Sales Manager will act as the commercial account owner for all Lear TCS/IGB products with OEM(s) in France/Italy/Great Britain and CN/NAFTA if applicable.
Summary of Position
The Sales Manager is responsible for business and relationship development between the assigned OEM(s) in France /Italy/Great Britain and Lear TCS. The primary goal of the position is to grow Lear TCS’s role, revenue and profit with the OEM(s) in France/Italy/Great Britain. The Sales Manager takes full ownership for all aspects of the business with this OEM(s) and represents ‘the face to the customer’.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- “Main contact” for all OEM(s) France/Italy/Great Britain business in Europe and CN/NA (if applicable). Responsible for all commercial aspects of the account including revenue growth, margin improvement, and customer relationships.
- Develops and implements an account strategy to meet internal financial commitments as well as securing new revenue opportunities for with the OEM(s) in France /Italy/Great Britain.
- Coordinates with other (regional) OEM(s) commercial leaders to ensure a consistent global approach.
- Manage the Sales team France/Italy/Great Britain.
- Assists in building financial plans and long-range revenue plans.
- Build/develop relationships with key customer purchasing and engineering leaders. Extend network with OEM(s) in France/Italy/Great Britain through all relevant organization levels. Strengthen relationships by regular meetings with these OEM(s).
- Create a strategy proposal for the coming year based on assigned OEM(s) in France/Italy/Great Britain with peer level (Senior) Program Manager.
- Create and use documentation to control aspects of the business necessary for transparency and structure when managing the assigned OEM(s) sales account.
- Manage the complete RFQ phase following LPMP/ProFile/ LearPro processes.
- Set up with team all commercial documentation as quotations, APR’s/CERs and CBDs following LPMP/ProFile/ LearPro processes.
- Overview and control of economy (budget, turnover, contribution, etc) of the business.
- Initiate marketing activities aimed at improving Lear TCS’s position on the market.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field.
- At least 3 years commercial experience in the automotive industry
- Understanding of cost drivers, financial business case analysis, and budgeting. Demonstrated ability to meet financial targets in a time-sensitive manner.
- Strategic thinker - simplifies strategy into specific actions, makes decisions and communicates priorities.
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, results oriented.
- Motivates team members and peers with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Build/develop relationships with key customer contacts.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Technical Background, ideally in Automotive Seat and/or Seat Comfort products
- Leadership skills. Ability to manage a team in order to meet project objectives.
- Entrepreneurial, results-oriented professional to lead and work within cross functional teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
- Solid negotiator and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation skills
- Able to travel extensively and be effective in a variety of business cultures
- Hands-on, team player with the ability to perform successfully in a dynamic, demanding environment
