About the role:
Our clients looks after some of the most iconic sites in the UK today including Hampton Court, the Tower of London, Kensington Palace, the Banqueting House, Kew Palace and Hillsborough Castle. The security of these locations was always paramount and is no different today.
They are currently looking for a Security Team Leader who is energetic and expects to lead by example. As a key member of the Kensington Palace Security Team, you will lead a team of Security Officers working a rolling shift of day and night duties to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, staff and residents alike.
You will work closely with your team and other departments ensuring that a high level of communication is maintained while managing the Palace Control Room, Security Systems, key control, any escalated security incidents and other duties as well as out-of-hours overall accountability for the Palace and its contents. Working effectively with other Team Leaders, you’ll support the Site Security Lead and provide a high-profile presence, providing visitors with the security they expect as well as delivering their Royal Standard and 5* service to all.
About you:
As an experienced security professional, you will know what is needed, effectively managing your team and others, and taking the initiative to identify better ways of working. With your expertise you'll set the tone and pace to demonstrate a high level of motivation and enthusiasm, encouraging and inspiring your team. You will have proven experience in solution-focused problem solving, excellent leadership skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers of Kensington Palace.
In addition to the above requirements, it will be advantageous if you have proven experience of leading a team, and that you have good IT skills, namely Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
