SEND Teaching Assistant

Accelerate Teaching, an innovative education agency, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a vibrant Secondary School in Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young learners with diverse needs.

Role Overview:

• Provide one-to-one support and assistance to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom setting.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to suit students' abilities.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.
• Assist students with daily tasks, including personal care and mobility, as required.
• Monitor and record students' progress, communicating effectively with colleagues and parents/guardians.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with students with SEN is essential.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting the educational development of all students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students in a dynamic educational setting.
