We're seeking an experienced administrator to play a vital role in supporting our new social enterprise. If you possess the versatility to handle various functions—from data entry to business support—we want to hear from you.
- Salary: £23,500 (pro-rota for part time)
- Hours: 36 hours per week (part time considered )
- Annual Leave: 26 days plus 8 Bank holidays (pro-rota for part time)
- Base: Southend On Sea
- Contract type: Fixed term for 12 months
Main Duties:
- Provide administrative support across a range of functions including IT, finance, payroll and project support.
- To provide administrative support to project leads, including coordinating project expenses.
- Processing purchase order requests and invoices.
- To support with the coordination of monitoring reports.
- Monitor, respond to and distribute internal and external communications.
- To support the development of business procedures.
- To be fully compliant with the GDPR.
- To support with volunteer recruitments activities.
- To comply with all organisational policies.
- To attend supervision, team meetings and training sessions
Person Specification:
Experience
- High level of attention to detail.
- Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- General business administration experience, including HR, finance, data compliance and/or health and safety.
- Experience in processing and handling sensitive and confidential data
- Data entry experience
- Experience of working in the Voluntary and Community sector (desirable, not essential).
Knowledge
- Qualified with grades A-C / 5-9 of GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook or other equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of developing or maintaining client management systems

Additional
- Able to travel to different City Family sites across Southend
- This is a hybrid role – Minumum three days per week in a City Family office
