The successful candidate will form part of the financial team on a 12-month contract initially. The role is Hybrid but will require you to be based two or three days per week in Coventry at the client's office. The team greatly values face to face interaction. It is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week. There is flexibility of start/finish times.
This role will require communicating with businesses and other finance teams in the UK, their Shared Service Centre in Europe as well as their Group consolidation team based in Europe making this a highly visible role with the opportunity to make a real impact.
Responsibilties
- Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of regular financial statements
- Preparation of any supplemental information and analysis required on a quarterly basis for Group Accounting
- Production of statutory accounts
- Ensure that the financial statements are technically correct and in accordance with the business accounting manual and International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Support the implementation of SAP system changes/updates.
- Support colleagues with the administration of changes in SAP P83 approval levels, SAP GRC approvals
- Provision of technical accounting advice and accounting support
- Liaise with Internal Audit and external auditors and the business to fully support audits
Knowledge and Skills
- A relevant professional accounting qualification (eg. CIMA)
- Practical post qualification experience (at least two years).
- Commercial awareness.
- Strong technical accounting skills and ability to interpret data.
- Strong knowledge of Accounting systems and processes, including SAP
- IT literate, especially Excel
