Senior Financial Accountant

MB Connected is proud to be representing a well-known financial services business based in the heart of Birmingham City Centre who operate a flexible hybrid working pattern. Due to an expansion within the company, a new role has been carved out for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the business. This position would suit a progressive ACA / ACCA qualified Accountant who is looking for their second move within industry and wanting to find a role that offers variety, progression, commercial exposure.

The position will be reporting directly into a Financial Reporting Manager, and you’ll part of a brilliant, capable team who are always looking to progress and push the business forward into different areas of the market. You will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations, statutory reporting, tax reporting, process improvement, ad hoc project work.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of annual statutory accounts, working alongside the Financial Reporting Manager
• Ensuring reporting is delivered in time and in line with all current regulatory standards working with key stakeholders
• Delivery of statutory accounts and management of audit process
• Support the business in financial decision-making and identifying areas for process improvement across the finance function

Key requirements:

• 2 years+ post-qualified (ACA, ACCA) with a good amount of experience within financial reporting and tax
• Strong technical accounting skills with experience in a similar all-round reporting position
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS with high quality data manipulation and presentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate to other areas of the business
