Senior PropertySafety Manager – Enhanced Housing Management Team
Location: Hybrid – London
Salary: £42,000-£48,000 (Dependant on experience and level of qualifications)
Contract type: Permanent, Full time – 35 hours per week

As a Senior Property & Safety manager you will work within a newly created team whose vision is to achieve outstanding building safety and management standards in our highest risk buildings.
We are looking for individuals who are confident in dealing with residents from all our main tenures, understand estate finances, have a working knowledge of relevant legislation and experience in either housing management or building construction and safety. You will need excellent communication skills as you will have to present information to a wide variety of audiences and build relationships with key stakeholders.

- IRPM all the way to MIRPM if not already attained
- Training and qualification as an FRA inspector
- Other training courses and materials being explored by A2D in line with fire safety
- Exploration of RICS qualifications to further technical knowledge
More about the role:
- The focus of this role will be service delivery for: fire safety and compliance; estate expenditure and budgets; resident engagement; estate management strategy documentation; and contract management
- Be the responsible person for ensuring your building and asset information is captured and maintained in the appropriate IT system and to the highest possible standard
- Take responsibility for keeping up to date with building safety legislation and take an activate role to support your Head of Department with the review of our services and management to ensure it is aligned with legislation
- Draft, implement and manage the management strategies for your estates and buildings to achieve the highest level of safety, customer satisfaction and with a low customer effort required
- Work collaboratively with Building Safety Manager to develop, maintain and manage the building Safety Case (the principles of life safety, including fire safety and building compliance, for the management of the building) for A2Dominion population of “tall/complex buildings”
- To carry out and monitor regular estate inspections, ensure accurate records are maintained and actions are taken promptly and resolved at the earliest opportunity. Ensure that the information gathered is to the highest level and recorded in the required systems to support the building and safety management
- Take ownership and responsibility for the management of your building – compliance servicing, responsive repairs, planned maintain
- Taking responsibility to support internal stakeholders and build strong relationships with your residents, onsite staff and contractors.
More about you:
- Has IRPM or CIH membership or equivalent suitable qualification
- Has (or willing to study for) a relevant fire safety qualification or equivalent
- Experience of delivering residential property management in private or public housing sector or technical knowledge of fire safety and building construction
- Knowledge of current housing & building safety legislation, best practise and up to date case law
- Experience of adopting a continuous improvement approach and adapting to change.
