An emerging renewable energy company, focused on creating and providing cost-effective and eco-friendly energy solutions and systems for the Northern Ireland market, is recruiting a Business Development Executive to promote Solar Energy Solutions throughout the UK and Ireland.
Your new role
The primary function of this role will be to promote solar energy solutions, driving sales and building strategic partnerships.
Sales and Relationship Management
- Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers to identify development and sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute a robust sales strategy.
- Manage the sales process.
Business Growth and Revenue Targets
- Set ambitious Business Development targets aligned with annual plans.
- Drive profitability while maintaining sustainability goals.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with industry partners, technology providers, and contractors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives.
Market Research and Analysis
- Conduct thorough research on the solar energy market, identifying trends, potential clients, and emerging technologies.
- Report on market trends, competitor activities and regulatory frameworks.
Solar Solutions Champion
- Promote Solar Solutions, emphasising environmental benefits and long-term cost savings.
- Advocate for solar & renewable energy policies.
What you'll need to succeed
- 3-5 years of experience in Business Development, preferably within the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record in growing sales.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and execute plans to deliver.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering (not essential), or a related field.
- Familiar with solar technologies (incl. Solar Thermal) and project development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions and proposal development.
- Team player with good organisational and planning skills.
- Disciplined, self-motivated and passionate.
- Ability to travel, UK & ROI mainly.
