About the Role
The Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Operations and CTO by managing the Supply Chain effectively. You will serve as a key liaison between external electronics and mechanical manufacturing partners and the company, ensuring seamless coordination and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage Supply Chain strategies to optimise efficiency and minimise costs.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for the seamless integration of Supply Chain processes.
- Utilise ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) to analyse data and make informed decisions
- Demand Planning: Utilise the forecasted demand for products and components, ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimizing excess stock.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee all aspects of the Supply Chain, including maintaining the Approved Vendor Listing (AVL) and managing relationships with suppliers.
- Purchasing Activities: Handle procurement activities, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and monitoring lead times for component stock.
- Supplier Development: Identify new suppliers and alternative providers, negotiating pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Work closely with Engineering to update and maintain the BOM for all products, ensuring accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with testing and assembly standards by third-party providers, monitoring and reporting on product quality.
- Stock Control: Manage stock inventory, including receiving, recording, and maintaining accurate stock levels. Collaborate with the Operations team on stock counting and control processes.
- Reporting and KPI Analysis: Prepare ad hoc reports and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and optimize Supply Chain performance.
- Order Fulfilment Support: Assist Operations team when needed to ensure timely, accurate order fulfilment
Essential Skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners
- Experience in procurement and Supply Chain management, preferably within high-tech manufacturing
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Proactive self-starter with a strong initiative to drive continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
- Hands-on approach and "get the job done" attitude
