The role
As a Supply Chain Relationship Specialist, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support the execution and ongoing governance of the Supplier Quality & Development (SQ&D) Strategy for the Babcock Group across all key themes of the teams' scope, including Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Sustainable Procurement and Risk.
Day to day, you'll manage supplier engagement plans and governance across SRM, SQ, SD and drive adherence to meeting structure and standard inputs and outputs:
Key tasks:
- Support the role out of Supplier Quality and Development and SRM Toolset both internally and externally.
- Support the ongoing enhancement of team processes and strategies in line with national and international standards and best practices. Ensuring the co-ordination and alignment with wider function and Procurement Enablement team.
- Co-ordinate and drive the delivery of improvement projects and plans focussed on a broad range of topics, including waste, quality, costs, delivery, efficiency, reliability, availability, safety, relationships.
- Collaborate with and support the development of tools and reports as required with the Procurement Enablement Team.
- Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops and events in support of the teams' requirements.
- Represent Babcock on industry working groups as required.
- Support and mentor colleagues as a subject matter expert in Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Development, Quality Assurance, Risk and Sustainability across the Supply Chain and Quality functions of multiple business units within Babcock.
- Report on SRM, SQ and SD performance and outcomes
Essential experience of the Supply Chain Relationship Specialist:
- Experience in Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering and/or Manufacturing environments
- Knowledge and experience of management processes (Manufacturing, Engineering or Service related)
- Previously worked within a customer facing role.
Qualifications for the Supply Chain Relationship Specialist:
- Full clean driving licence and passport required
- Degree level qualification preferred
The successful candidate must hold, or be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
