Chapel Allerton is a vibrant and diverse area in North Leeds. Our school is central to the local community and we relish the challenge of supporting all children and families to achieve their full potential. Chapel Allerton Primary School was graded Good by Ofsted in December 2018 and is determined to develop children who have a lifelong love of learning.
We wish to recruit talented and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants, both general and SEND, to add to our excellent team from September 2024.
The posts are for 30 hours a week, 8.30am - 3.15pm every day. The majority of posts will be temporary for one academic year in the first instance but there is scope for permanent appointments for particularly strong candidates.
The General Teaching Assistant role involves supporting the teacher, working with individuals or groups of children (including those with SEND) and delivering intervention strategies. You should have good behaviour management skills, have the ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff, and be flexible and able to work on your own initiative. The SEND focussed roles have the additional responsibility of providing 1:1 support to a specific pupil for the majority of the day. Currently we have children with different forms of autism, Downs Sydrome, delayed development and medical needs.
The successful candidates will join a team of caring, hardworking practitioners and be both supported and challenged to enhance their classroom skills.
Further information about the jobs and details of how to apply can be found at: www.chapelallertonprimary.co.uk. Please clearly state whether you are applying for the general TA role, the SEND focussed role or wish to be considered for both.
The closing date is: Monday 13th May at 9.00am
Please e-mail completed application forms to: recruitment@chapelallertonprimary.co.uk.
We intend to hold interviews during the week commencing 20th May and candidates are encouraged to join a tour of the school on Tuesday 7th May at 2.30pm if they would like.
