Salary range: £26,873 - £28,770 per annum

Work location: The Net, Stratton Way, Abingdon, OX14 3RG

Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working to 37 hours per week, due to supporting front line children’s services there is a requirement to work Monday – Thursday 8.30 am – 5.00 pm and 8.30 am – 4.00 pm Friday, with the requirement to work from The Net Abingdon and some ability to work in an agile manner.

Contract type: Permanent

Vetting requirements: This role is subject to a Criminal Records Check.


Closing date: Sunday 7th April 2024

Interview date: The recruitment process is in two parts; there will be an ICT assessment on Monday 15th April 2024 and an interview following successful outcome of your ICT Assessment on Thursday 18th April 2024.

About us


We are looking for a Team Support Officer to provide administrative support to our Family Solutions Plus team based in Abingdon.


About the role


Team Support Officers are crucial in supporting our Social Workers and Team Managers to work effectively to deliver outstanding services to local children and families in your community.


Team Support Officers will support our social workers directly, building excellent working relationships with professionals and members of the public and providing efficient and first-class customer service. Strong IT skills and excellence in customer care essential.


We have a dedicated training and induction plan for all new starters where we will develop your knowledge, skills and expertise in business administration in order for you to be successful in your role.


About you


You will be answering telephone calls, diary management, supporting financial processes, team inbox management, attending multi agency meetings to take actions notes.


You will be a person who can build excellent working relationships with professionals and members of the public. You will be a highly organised individual, with good IT skills and will be able to provide efficient first-class customer service to all users of the Service.
