SalaryHighly successful, niche business is currently seeking a Transport and Route Planning Operations Manager for the Vehicles Depot in Widnes. Great opportunity to join a very well established and continually expanding business within a fantastic industry.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for :
- Managing and improving overall operational performance of the site, with a focus on Route efficiency and planning (multi drop routes)
- The role will have direct line management of route officers to ensure that the routes are planned and sequenced in advance, and working with the Depot Manager
- looking at transport route efficiency, ensuring collections are made from all the customers
- Manning the trucks with drivers and loaders and planning around holidays with agency staff as required
Working with the Depot Manager, as Operations Manager you will need to be aware of all activity on site including opening and closing.
The successful candidate will have experience in operation management and route planning.
With excellent communication, inter-personal analytical and Microsoft skills, the successful candidate will be able to work in a team, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and have a flexible approach.
A full driving licence and flexibility to travel for meetings/training/site visits is essential.
In return you can expect a salary of around 35,000 per annum plus benefits working Monday to Friday days
