About The Roles

Its unique offer of a Medieval Wall Walk, Victorian Prison and Magna Carta creates a truly compelling story to be enjoyed, experienced and shared by all.
One of our new Team Leaders will join and oversee a high performing team of Visitor Experience Officers, reviewing, embedding and championing a visitor welcome and customer service befitting of Lincoln Castle.The other Team Leader will lead a team of Buildings & Grounds and Cleaning Assistants, developing and integrating a buildings and grounds management plan and schedule to ensure exemplary cleanliness and presentation across this magnificent historic site.
You will also be one of Lincoln Castle’s duty managers, being responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the site, including during events and third party hires. As part of this you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety on site and of our guests, and ensuring best practice is adhered to. You will also be inspiring and leading a multi-disciplinary team of Visitor Experience, Catering and Buildings and Grounds Teams and volunteers.
Finally, maintaining a robust focus on health and safety standards is paramount. You will support the Site Manager in providing safe and effective site management. Ensuring all aspects of your teams’ operations adheres to relevant regulations and best practices, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone to enjoy this world-class visitor attraction.

About You
You will support the delivery of Lincoln Castle's highly successful events programme, as such you will be required to work regular weekends and some evenings.
Our Ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes;
· Excellent knowledge of exemplary customer service practice.
· Ability to manage, coach and develop teams of staff and volunteers.
· Knowledge and experience of EPOS systems, and experience of working in a cash handling environment.
· Good written and verbal communication skills (Plus use of Microsoft packages; Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
· A sound working knowledge of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
· Ability to prioritise work loads in a challenging and busy environment.
