Are you a wizard of organisation with a knack for multitasking? We're seeking a proactive administrator to join our client based in Southampton. The role will be to help keep their operations running smoothly, from managing schedules to providing stellar customer service, you'll be the backbone of the team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love tackling challenges head-on, i want to hear from you!

The role

  • Attendance Management
  • Holiday process and logging all employees leave.
  • Filing
  • Following processes
  • Diary Management and scheduling meetings

Administrative Proficiency - Strong administrative skills are a must, including proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office suite, Google Workspace, and database management.

Communication skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for liaising with colleagues, councillors, and members of the public.

Organisation & Time management - The ability to prioritise tasks effectively, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines is crucial in a fast-paced council environment.

Attention to detail - Accuracy in record-keeping, data entry, and documentation is vital to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

Customer Service - A customer-centric approach is necessary for dealing with inquiries from residents, businesses, and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.

Problem solving skills - Being able to identify issues, analyse situations, and propose solutions is important for addressing challenges that may arise in day-to-day operations.

Confidentiality - Handling sensitive information with discretion and maintaining confidentiality is essential, particularly when dealing with personal or legal matters.

Teamwork - Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the council and external partners to achieve common goals and deliver projects successfully.

Flexibility and Adaptability - The ability to adapt to changing priorities, policies, and procedures is important in a dynamic council environment.
