Job summary Are you passionate about managing admissions Systems and Data to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of an admissions service, contributing to the success of a global top 10 university? We're seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to join our team as Admissions Manager (Systems and Data) on a 6-month fixed term basis. If currently an Imperial employee, the role will be offered as a secondment. Working together with the Head of Market Insight and Data, your leadership of the Admissions Systems and Data team will support the College’s admissions service by managing large scale system processes, dataflows, integrations, and system-dependencies, both between the College’s own record Systems and UCAS. You will also collaborate closely with ICT colleagues to ensure that appropriate systems training is developed and delivered to admissions and departmental staff. Duties and responsibilities Through the effective leadership of the Systems and Data team ensure appropriate oversight and professional delivery of specific activities that sit within this remit and the other roles within the team. Responsibility for the oversight of the College’s student record system interface with UCAS, including appropriate scheduling of relevant system-processes and their cancellation at key points in line with internal and external maintenance schedules, or other business processes. An expert understanding of other large scale system processes, dataflows, integrations, system-dependencies, and schedule activities. Overarching responsibility for the CAS production process for incoming students. Responsibility for bulk business system activities that sit with admissions. In collaboration with ICT develop a training roadmap for admissions and departmental staff with appropriate permissions. Ensure active involvement in implementation of Imperial 360 Admissions System, working closely with the ICT Student Life Cycle team. To deliver effective leadership and management of the Senior Admissions Officer and Admissions Officers within the Admissions Systems and Data team, supporting them with their professional development. Essential requirements Knowledge and understanding of UK Higher Education admissions processes (including UCAS) Ability to identify key IT issues, undertake further research necessary and suggest options for resolution. Able to think strategically and take considerable personal initiative; able to analyse situations, formulate plans and implement strategies to meet objectives. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with different Colleagues at different levels of seniority. The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
