THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
The Wholesaler Management Team are responsible for managing the operational and financial interactions with the Water and Sewerage Wholesalers that Wave are contracted with in the Water Retail Market.
The team is looking for an Assistant Wholesale Analyst (Settlement) to support the reconciliation of market data and the charges paid to the Wholesalers and to help us to continue to develop our great and wonderful culture.
The role will suit you if you are a detail-driven, problem solver who enjoys working with data.
WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?
- Reconciliation of reports from the central market operating systems in England and Scotland, to ensure Wholesale charges are accurate.
- Supporting the preparation of data to assist the Wholesaler Analyst (Settlement) with their data interrogation
- Ensuring credit support requirements for Wholesale charges are monitored and any new requirements are highlighted and actioned in a timely manner
- Investigating and resolving data discrepancies, including, but not limited to, meter reading errors, both proactively and in response to settlement reports
- Using forecasting tools to identify data issues and take preventative action
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Competency in analysis and interpretation of information.
- Ability to draw appropriate conclusions and make recommendations.
- Ability to solve problems, tenacious.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
- Good general level of IT literacy.
- 5 GCSE’s (Grade C or above) or equivalent including Maths.
- Experience of handling large quantities of data
