This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business. My client manufactures and supplies bespoke machinery to various markets, including biomass; chemical; mineral and agricultural, both in the UK and overseas. Reporting to the senior management this role will cover the West or East side of the UK, there are 2 roles, one for each area. You will be required to travel as this is a field based role.
Key Accountabilities
- Work with Sales & Marketing Manager and other Sales Managers to make and maintain contact with key existing customer to encourage further sales.
- Assist in follow up of enquiries and quotations.
- Work with the client to identify specific needs including providing details to allow prompt conversion of enquiry into quotation.
- Maintain customer records and fully utilise the CRM system.
- Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
- Analyse regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
- Report on regional sales results.
- Participate in discussions for expansion.
- Suggest new services/ products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
- Co-operate with other departments by maintaining good lines of communication and recognition of over-lapping problems.
The right candidate will;
- Possess 3-5 years' experience in sales or account management.
- Ideally will have mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Will have the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, with colleagues and team members, and aim to build advocates within the business.
- Should be able to positively work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Should have good negotiation and closing skills.
- Will have evidence of sales planning.
- Should demonstrate experience of delivering profitable sales growth.
- Will be a competent IT user.
