In Dudley, School Attendance & Education Support Service is a Key Priority. We are transforming and improving the way we provide educational support services for Children, Young People and Families by developing new and innovative ways of working with families whose children are missing from education, being electively home educated or struggling with attending school.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced and passionate Business Support Officer.
We are looking for an experienced professional who is able to provide professional administrative, clerical and IT support to assist with the delivery of the School Attendance & Education Support Service, whose specific areas include Children Missing from education, Children Electively Home Educated and Children failing to attend school regularly.
The School Attendance & Education Support Service provides the Local Authorities statutory function in relation to legal action for non-school attendance and you will be required to provide the administrative support for this work including issuing penalty fines and monitoring payment processes and systems.
You must have a good telephone manner and be able to deal calmly and confidently with customers and clients in stressful situations.
You must be able to maintain complex data recording systems and support a team of Officers in their daily duties.
