Clinical Receptionist Job Description

Hours: Full Time post 40 hours per week worked Monday to Friday. Hours will be set according to a rota, created on a monthly basis by the Practice Manager - must have the ability to start early (06.45) and finish late (20.15) with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Some unsociable hours and weekend working required
Reports to: Front of House Manager
Annual Leave: 23 days per annum plus Bank Holidays
Summary of Post
The post holder will be the first point at receptionist for all the patients in terms of answering the phone, emails and meeting and greeting. The post holder is also be responsible for the maintaining the general clinic environment. All standard receptionist activities will be executed in the role.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Receptionist will have a passion for maintaining high standards at Pure Sports Medicine. The successful post holder will be responsible for:
· Opening and closing premises.
· Meeting and greeting patients and visitors, routing of patients on arrival
· Answering and directing incoming phone calls
· Managing appointment booking and practitioner diaries
· Dealing with telephone and online enquiries
· Registering of patients, and data entry of patient information
· Handling point of contact payment (invoicing and receipting)
· Processing all insurance company invoicing
· Collect outstanding patient debts
· Management of the waiting room and general clinic environment
· Managing incoming deliveries
· Leaving reception area tidy and ready for incoming colleague, together with information regarding unresolved or urgent problems.
· Attend staff meetings and company events as required
· Engage in the monthly review process with the practice manager
Any other duties which may be required and agreed with the Organisation.
