Salary - £37,000 - £42,000 per annum + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)
We're looking for a Consultant Liaison Officer to join our team based at London Bridge Hospital on a fixed term of 10 months. Within this role, you will be responsible for acting as liaison for all Consultants at the Hospital and for developing and retaining referrals from these Consultants for all areas of service delivery. The role is responsible for both the appropriate recruitment of new Consultants to HCA Facilities and the ongoing maintenance of relationships with Consultants who already have a practice at HCA. This role also encompasses areas of business development and identification of growth opportunities across the range of services delivered per facility.
The post holder will be very familiar with hospital operations, language and roles, and will facilitate the building of ongoing Consultant relationships, both with new and existing Consultant users, and as a result facilitate growth of new service areas or business. The role functions as an extension of senior hospital leadership in a dynamic and professional manner.
Furthermore this post services to build long-term relationships as personal advisor to the clinical consultant to enhance referral relationships, increase productivity, and extend the reach of the office of the CEO's. Therefore, by increasing consultant satisfaction, support the overall objective of increasing consultant loyalty to facility and organization as a whole.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a primary point of contact for Consultants within the assigned service lines, addressing day to day queries and feedback regarding their private practice at HCA, practice performance, and growth opportunities
• Recruit and onboard new consultants within the assigned service lines
• Establish a trustworthy working relationship, including face to face meetings with hospital based staff, heads of department and their teams incorporating an understanding of individual preferences and needs
• In collaboration with the CEO and Business Development colleagues, analyse and interpret consultant and service line volumes, referral patterns and trends, to identify and prioritise growth opportunities at an individual consultant and overall service line level
• Facilitate regular internal service line meetings where the hospital leadership team and heads of department review performance, new recruits, changes to existing consultant practice, and strategic priorities
• Act as project manager on key service line operational and strategic initiatives
• To increase market intelligence in order to aid consultant recruitment, and in this regard feed back information to Business Development Department
• To facilitate various Consultant Specialty group meetings as prioritized by the CEO
• On direction from the CEO from time to time other duties may be considered necessary for the facilitation of this role, such as; recruitment of new consultants, business initiatives etc
• An ability to work flexibly, including some unsocial hours, are integral to the role and maintaining appropriate links and access to the consultants

What you'll bring:
• Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare is essential
• Previous experience working with management teams
• Previous hospital based clinical/operational experience would be an advantage
• Ability to research, understand and explain healthcare services' volume, utilization, and market data
• Ability to research, understand, and explain market demographics
• Ability to access, understand, and explain Consultant referral patterns
• Ability to design targeted referral strategies
• Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
