Oakleaf Partnership are currently recruiting for a Employee Relations Manager on a 12-Month FTC for an international software company based in Central London (two days a week).
The ER Manager will be joining as part of the international team supporting business units across EMEA and APAC, reporting directly to the VP HR International, also based in Central London.
With 700 employees across EMEA, you will provide ER expertise and guidance to both the business leaders and HR Business Partners, aligned with the company values, ensuring a high-performance environment and continuous improvement of management of ER topics and practices across the whole international region. You will also build and maintain the ER knowledge database across UK, France, Germany Netherlands, Spain, South Africa and Sweden.
Your impact will be as follows:
* Providing consistent expertise and guidance across the full breadth of Employee Relations topics
* Taking ownership of Employee Relations casework, such as Disciplinary, Grievance, Dismissals and Appeals in accordance with applicable regulations while considering employee experience, business needs, potential risk and cost impacts
* Providing support and advice during the implementation of organisational change projects, ensuring a consistent approach in areas such as M&A, changes in legal entity structure and transfer of employees between legal entities, roles changes, redundancies, and work location changes
* Coaching, training and developing managers to become confident and self-sufficient in first line HR matters and introduce best practice in Employee Relations
* Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with HR colleagues, business leaders, Legal & Compliance functions ensuring practical and commercial decisions, aligned with applicable legal regulations and Company policies
* Managing relationship with internal and external legal counsels, occupational health services, EAP, tribunal services, ACAS etc.
* Monitoring and analysing ER trends and metrics, identifying areas of improvement and drive solutions
* Remaining updated on the latest developments in employment laws and best practices, educate and train relevant stakeholders as needed
* Develop and mentor other members of the HR team in handling ER cases
Experience required:
* Proven record of significant previous ER experience in multi-national, high pace environment; UK experience - a must.
* Excellent knowledge of employment law; English law - a must
* A commercially focused, pragmatic approach to resolving ER and business issues
* The ability to advise, guide and coach our business leaders as you take them through ER issues and their responsibilities
* Ability to work on high-pressure topics and manage potential disputes while maintaining a focus on effective resolution and supporting business priorities
* Excellent attention to detail, well organized and efficient
* Proactive, show initiative with a continuous improvement mindset
* Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills - the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with all managerial levels

* Degree qualified - HR (CIPD Qualified 5 and/or 7) or Law degree
