Finance & Admin Coordinator (4 Day Week)

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a charity-based organisation based in Belfast to recruit for a Finance Assistant on a full, permanent basis.

This role operates a 4 day worth week!!

The Job Role:

The Finance and admin assistant will support members of the organisation on matters related to financial operations and general admin tasks.

Reporting to the Head of Finance general duties include:

Purchase ledger

• Oversee the accounts payable processes
• Oversee and check the weekly bank payment run

Sales ledger

• Oversee customer invoicing, reconciling the customer accounts

Nominal ledger

• Assist in month end preparations and year end preparation as and when required
• Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger records
• Ensure processing of all monthly income and expenditure is posted to SAGE

Bank Accounts

• Conduct regular bank account and credit card reconciliations

Payroll

• Prepare information for payroll provider to generate monthly payment run
• Process monthly salary payments to staff and HMRC using online bank system
• Process pension payments on online system and complete monthly reconciliations

Funding Claims

• Prepare regular and occasional claims for funding bodies across the spectrum of central and local government, sponsors and trust awarding organisations ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and timescales

What You Need to Succeed?

• GCSE/ equivalent in maths & English
• Two years experience using an accountancy package
• Experience of assisting in preparation of financial information
• Experience of processing income and expenditure
